We just loved Bagno di Romagna! What a charming town! We really enjoyed the time at the school with our teachers Mersia and Silva. The cooking classes with Carmen were great fun too. Dida and Silvia were very helpful and friendly and we really appreciate the advice and help we we received for the additional travel we wanted to do. C'era una volta un piccolo paese in Romagna. La gente lì era gentile e aperta agli stranieri. In piazza c'era un bar con i proprietari simpaticissimi.... Vicino al bar in un bell'edificio c'era una piccola scuola di italiano. Gli insegnanti erano simpatici e severi. Amavano il loro lavoro. Alla mattina spesso c'era un'atmosfera allegra con molte risate. La direttrice era aperta e spiritosa. Per gli studenti aveva sempre le orecchie aperte e idee per fare l'impossibile possibile. Un giorno è arrivata una studentessa, che aveva le sue idee fisse su come imparare una lingua. Queste idee erano forti, perché avevano la loro base nella sua esperienza di vita. Finalmente si è trovata una famiglia ottima, che voleva che lei stesse con loro per un po'. Che fortuna! La studentessa era molto grata! Lei augurava a tutti gli insegnanti per il futuro "In bocca al lupo!" e sicuramente ritornerà in questo bel posto. Questo è un piccolo regalo, che mi ricorda i troll della Norvegia, che amo molto. Classwork in the mornings was very serious. All aspects of the language were explored: literature, newspapers, grammar etc. In afternoon sessions, focus was on local history and life, as well as field trips. Teachers were well-qualified and made every effort to meet individual needs.
Social activities of all kinds were arranged.
